I read recently that nostalgia is dangerous. In that case “Danger” is my middle name. I mean I get it and all, its just for me I loved the last 15 years of touring and its hard not to spiel about it…..constantly. I overheard someone making fun of me once and they didn’t know I was walking by, they said “blah blah blah my names Jeremy and this one time in California…..” And I always thought that was a pretty good impression. I miss walking down streets of new cities lookin for tiki bars and days off in Chicago goin to see the Cubs and wandering around London looking for ska records and curry and sweaty club shows and pulling off a crazy load out that holds up traffic in NYC while angry people yell at us. My point here is leaning extra on those fond memories have helped me get through this crazy year. So, I can handle a little danger via nostalgia. A wise man was once told “nothing lasts forever” and he responded “Everything Lasts Forever!”. That man was Homer Simpson and that’s what this song is about.
